Tis the Season... to Work! [INFOGRAPHIC]
Xobni has released our 2nd annual survey results on email behavior around the holidays… and it ain’t pretty if you’re a believer in disconnecting over the holidays. Overall, the percentage of people checking and receiving email was shockingly similar to last year’s results, leading us to believe this is a very valid representation of email behavior over the holidays.

Workday Comes to Outlook via Xobni Gadget Store
For years, Xobni has been known as a tool to make Microsoft Outlook “livable” and “more productive” with our easy people and email search plugin. While there has been a lot of excitement and hoopla recently around our new Smartr-branded products for Android and Gmail (“a smarter way to go about overcoming contact overload”), we continue to improve upon the product that put us in business – Xobni...

150 = 4,000 - Cool math and science on the brain
At Xobni, we often describe a successful product as one that lets you “comfortably” keep track of and manage tens of thousands of relationships.
While our brain can hold on to tiny bits of thousands of interactions and people, we were wired to manage just 150 relationships - a number scientists call Dunbar’s Number, after British scientist Robin Dunbar. Scientists believe this...

INFOGRAPHIC: The Value of Contact Information
At Xobni, we believe the address book as it is today is broken. We spend a lot of time around here figuring out how to make email and contact management easier, better and effortless. Some call it the magic in the mundane, but we call it awesome. Our most recent product called Smartr (now for Gmail and Android) has been called a “magic address book,” and PC Magazine said it best...

Say Hello to Smartr™ Inbox for Gmail and Smartr™...
By Jeff Bonforte
Xobni has built a reputation for building smart products, taking the pain out of our inbox and rethinking contact management. Our Outlook and BlackBerry products have been downloaded over 10M times. Of course not everyone (not even all Xobni employees) uses Outlook and a BlackBerry. We have had thousands of customers request products on new platforms, devices and for different...

Why Smartr™?
By Jeff Bonforte
The Xobni brand (the word “inbox” backwards) has been good to us. The name actually was the idea of Paul Graham (Y Combinator). It really captured the original product, an email search plug-in that in many ways turned the inbox on its head. Xobni remain the name of the company (and the publisher of these new apps), and some products - existing and new - will still fall under...
New Platforms - What Takes So Long?
By Jeff Bonforte
The paradox of simple to use fast products is that they are deceivingly difficult to build. What makes these new Smartr products both more simple and more powerful than anything we have done before is basically invisible. Everything from our inbox and contact indexing, to injecting and integrating into the right places at the right time, to our massively improved ranking...
What About Xobni Customers?
By Jeff Bonforte
For the millions of current Xobni customers, things shouldn’t change much, and you can still refer to us by our Xobni brand. Still, all these new Smartr products are for you, too. We recently updated all of Xobni’s current products in previous releases to work with the new Smartr platform, so the products work together seamlessly, and the experience should feel familiar.

Why you should work at Xobni
by Ryan Gerard
Many people know of Xobni as the Outlook search plugin. That’s not wrong – but it’s only a fraction of what we are today. While we still love our Outlook customers, we are no longer strictly a desktop software company. We’re a data-centric company, and our specialty is analyzing your data and transforming it into useful and relevant information. Our first product provided...
